The Warehouse Material Expeditor position will assist in warehouse operations, and compiles and maintains product inventory and status information and has responsibility for order entry, solving issues related to scheduling, truck problems, and to expedite movement of products to ensure efficient operations by performing the following duties.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Manage Inventory

  • Responsible for cycle counting the entire warehouse a minimum of four times every year. Communicates with loading service when misplaced products are found.
  • Communicates cycle count differences or problems to the Manager.
  • Responsible for processing all mislabeled tires, keeping mislabeled products in mixed bins.
  • Responsible for processing all damaged tires being returned or found in the warehouse. Tires are placed on the scrap trailer or marked scrap after their processed.
  • Assist with month end clean up, clears all work bins, open task, staging lanes, sloc-20, and processes all mislabels and damaged tires.

Daily Operations

  • Work with office staff or Loading service to resolve system issues related to inventory, warehouse task, cuts, loading, etc.
  • Verifies proper carriers are used, records trailer number, seals, and insures all shipping documents are completed and accurate before PGI ing the load.
  • Puts together all shipping documents for carriers, ensures all sections are signed and completed. Tallies and files all shipping documents daily. Seals trailers when required.
  • Assist the Traffic Scheduler and Supervisor by conferring with truck lines and/ or loading/ spotting services as required.
  • Continuously update loads in SAP with accurate pre-tendered pickup dates.
  • Works closely with carriers for status updates on equipment and pickups before closing.
  • May be required to fill in and handle other duties in the absence of other staff members.
  • Receives inbound trailers, creates unloaders paperwork, places trailer in the door. Verifies completion, releases, and finalizes inbound paperwork. Creates QM report if necessary.
  • May be required to work overtime or other hours.
  • Assist with Physical inventory.
  • Assist in the general duties required in any efficient office. These include but are not limited to answering telephones, taking messages, preparing reports, filing documents, etc.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree, Vocational or Technical School
  • 1-3 years’ relevant work experience (industry specific preferred)
  • Must be proficient in using standard office equipment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP and ETQ document control a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
