Business Process Lead (Distribution & Operations) is considered the Warehouse Operations Expert within the North American Supply Chain to ensure alignment of processes and approach within the distribution centers.  In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and improving Distribution processes and operational stability. Additionally, this role includes supporting Distribution Centers on technical knowledge of the system (including training, testing, investigating new functions, defining requirements etc…)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all KPI’s, metrics and reports for Plant DC’s, RDC’s, and 3PL.
  • Directs slotting analysis and setup for all DC’s on quarterly basis.
  • Business process management, development, optimization and sustainability.
  • Works with our IT department on the identification, development, and implementation of key changes and enhancements to Cooper’s warehouse management systems.
  • Continuous improvement on processes
  • Responsible for ETQ (ISO) documentations for all DC’s at corporate level.
  • Develop new and unique solutions to solve day to day operational issues to reach short and long term goals.
  • Lead or participate in warehouse management and distribution related projects as needed to support business initiatives
  • Creation of work instructions, business processes, and training related documents to drive standardization and improvements across the network.
  • Keeps abreast of Marketing and Customer initiatives that impact distribution operations and develops solutions to support those initiatives.
  • Rapid identification of operational failures and implementation/communication of corrective actions.
  • Responsible for unit movement plan for DC’s.
  • Leads capacity planning (i.e., racking, layouts, material handling) for DC’s.
  • E&V, accrual, invoicing, purchase order support.
  • Leads and supports Capital & Expense budget process.
  • Responsible for Appropriation Requests for DC’s.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university required, preferably in supply chain, business, operations management, engineering or similar field.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience working in Distribution/supply chain.
  • 3-5 years of SAP ECC/EWM transactional/operational experienced preferred.

  • Ability to conduct assessments and evaluate to measure progress
  • Strong presentation, and verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 20-25%
  • Normal work schedule is M-F, 8am - 5pm, but may be adjusted based upon specific projects or circumstances

 

Preferred Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • High-level of demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred.
  • Experience working with transportation, planning, and customer service functions.
