Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. seeking a relentlessly curious, solutions-oriented Business Analyst to join our rapidly growing North American Digital Marketing Strategy and Analytics team.  We rely on this team to provide the thought leadership needed to drive our rapidly scaling digital marketing team.


Cooper’s Digital Marketing team is comprised of experts who drive consumer engagement in their respective channels.  The team is highly cross-functional, working closely with brand marketing, sales, product development, business intelligence, along with infrastructure and security to grow consumer engagement.

 

In this new role, you will be a key contributor and business enabler. The Business Analyst is aligned with the Digital Marketing team to help them achieve their goals, with a focus on leading the IT architecture and infrastructure decisions as a business partner.
This role will need to think critically to tackle complex challenges and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.  There are significant growth opportunities for this role and others within the Digital Marketing team to emerge as leaders, taking on additional projects and responsibilities with strong performance.

 

Location for this role can be based out Findlay, OH; Royal Oak, MI; or remote.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements.
  • Seeks to understand the business needs and deliver prompt, efficient quality service
  • Build a strong understanding of business-to-consumer operations and key process indicators that impact overall business performance
  • Engage with business partners and influence project decisions; assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.
  • Promote IT architectural consistency and usability standards
  • Develop and present business cases and analysis to business leadership
  • Build knowledge, capacity and capability within teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Rapidly acquire new knowledge and learns new skills
  • Drive new processes, policy and standards that support the organizational initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology and systems
  • 10+ years in B2C environments, website and marketing communications technology
  • Kentico or MVC framework experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborating with cross-functional team with the ability to explain complex information technology benefits and nuances to non-IT colleagues achieve target outcomes
  • Proficiency in APIs, databases, marketing cloud solutions, and Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge/experience in agile development methodology
  • Prior management consulting or professional services experience or internship is a plus
  • Previous experience managing offshore development resources is preferred
  • Experience with Azure Cloud platform and Azure DevOps administration
  • Experience and knowledge of setting up Continuous Delivery, CI/CD Pipelines
  • Proficiency in application deployments, configuration management, Release activity and processes
  • Well versed with cloud security and network artifacts like Web Application Firewall
  • Proficiency in Cloud Automation, including managing cloud-deployed resources, using PowerShell scripts, ARM Templates. Good familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting applications, which rely on many integrations, with databases, web services and batch jobs, using logs and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of application scaling solutions like Load Balancers and Content Delivery Networks
