<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The solution architect is the primary point of contact for all project related tasks within the Infrastructure and Operations team.  This person will be accountable for the requirements gathering, solution design, and collaboration with the resources used for successful implementation of the solution.  As a solution architect you will be responsible for maintaining the architectural artifacts that will communicate what to build, how to build it and will ensure that the solution fits within the current and future infrastructure landscapes.  To be successful you will need a balance of technical and business skills with the ability to navigate several technical domains.


<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Design, deploy, manage, and maintain secure, scalable systems using technology from a variety of vendors within virtualized, converged, and cloud infrastructures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Provide technical leadership to staff and contractors.  Lead discussions regarding infrastructure solutions and technical capabilities.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Gather and analyze requirements, evaluate options, select and implement technologies that best suit the client’s needs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Work with subject matter experts to develop & implement complex environments.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Create and execute migration or upgrade paths for legacy production systems to new platform standards.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Troubleshoot difficult problems and recommend appropriate actions. Leverage vendor aid when needed.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Work beyond routine nature of tasks utilizing specialized knowledge and technology.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business personnel by acting as a trusted advisor, developing a clear understanding of business needs, and ensuring delivery of IT services to meet those needs;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Build and maintain architecture deliverables.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and service offerings.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Participate in scoping discussions with contractors and vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Perform other job-related duties as required.


<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Job Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Technical certifications such as TOGAF, VCDX, MCSE, CCNP or CISSP a plus
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">5+ years in a global IT architecture role or similar function;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">5+ years building and managing enterprise environments including but not limited to:
    • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">configuring routers, switches, SD-WAN, fault-tolerant redundant environments.
    • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">configuring routing protocols, firewall rules, interfaces, NAT translations, VLANs, and DNS records
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">5+ years building global IT systems including but not limited to
    • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">cloud services, storage, backup, compute, collaboration tools, automation, virtualization, software defined services and security;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Demonstrated communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies;
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Solid understanding of LAN & WAN protocols
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Capability to work independently and self-motivate.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Global experience in a matrixed/outsourced environment
