The Warehouse Expeditor performs cycle counts to create efficient operation of warehouse. This person will also coordinate activities of Administrative Employees in the security of the docks and the loading of trucks and railroad cars as well as assist in the verification of tires as to count, commodity code etc. and ensure that all loading procedures are followed.

 

 Job Responsibilities:

  • May secure loaded trucks and rail cars by sealing doors or ensuring that seals are in place and that all required paperwork and packing slips are in roder and included in the shipment.
  • Cooperates with the Finishing Department to insure a steady and continuous flow of finished goods into the warehouse.
  • Maintain shift report passing on pertinent information to persons who need such information.
  • Work with Inventory Control and Warehousemen to ensure that inventories are accurate and if necessary make adjustments
  • Assists to train employees in safe techniques for efficient job performance.
  • Secures skilled trades assistance when equipment failures occur.   Prepares work orders as directed by Supervisor.
  • Recommends disciplinary action to Supervisor.
  • Works with Load Planner to resolve shipping issues or to expedite shipments.
  • Monitors outside contractor to ensure company rules and requests are being followed.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to solve issues/problems with little direction or assistance
  • Ability to prevent and solve issues relating to: scheduling, order entry, truck problems, staging, and the systems used to control orders and inventory
  • Capable to anticipate and offer suggestions on process improvement
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating work shifts

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior knowledge of SAP is preferred.
