Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels designs, develops and distributes specialty tires for the street, strip, track, and off-road markets. The Position
As the Director of Product Management for Team MT you will lead the creation and execution of our undisputed product line. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and leading an experienced team, you will work across the company to help us develop innovative products, drive sales and build profitable growth. 


Responsibilities
Leadership: 

  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for product segments, market position, project management, warranty and technical customer support
  • Foster a creative and collaborative team environment focused on development and innovation 

 

Marketing:

  • Effectively communicate key product messaging to internal and external audiences 
  • Provide market insight through the monitoring and collection of market intelligence, supplier landscape changes, cost driver trends, customer feedback and information 

 

Product:

  • Develop the vision and roadmap for the Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek product lines 
  • Develop and communicate product/supplier positioning and go-to-market strategy 
  • Vendor management – work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure a smooth process from design to production 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external groups 

 

Key Results

  • Demonstrate ongoing education, development and application of performance aftermarket industry and MT product knowledge
  • Successful execution of go-to-market product strategy

 

Requirements
Education:    

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in marketing and product/category management 
  • Experience developing market leading brands and/or products 
  • Premium/luxury brand experience preferred
  • Automotive or performance aftermarket experience preferred

 

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills 
  • Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience leading a category or product team
