Title:  Finance and Accounting Analyst  

FLSA – Non Exempt (eligible for OT)


The Finance and Accounting Analyst is a role that has significant responsibility for analyzing company financials that are used to develop solutions to business problems.  This role requires a strong analytical skill set in combination with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles. The role also handles the fundamentals of accounting through the financial close and reconciliation processes. 



Financial Analysis & Reporting (70%):

  • Play a key role in generating analytical solutions to complex business problems by mining data, conducting analysis and generating insights that yield relevant, actionable items
  • Develop and automate daily,  weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting and dashboards to monitor the health of the business and to share business insights with key stakeholders
  •  Develop and compile various financial reports and models that focus on forecasting and planning

Accounting (30%):

  • Prepare Journal entries
  • Prepare and review financial statements
  • Budget preparation
  • Other accounting duties  

 Key Results:

  • Accurate and timely sales, COGS and overhead analysis
  • Actively works with Department heads to facilitate timely Forecasts
  • Actively works with Accounting & Sales to facilitate accurate and timely customer programs
  • Accurate and timely financial close and reporting
  • Accurate and timely Account Reconciliations


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Intelligence or a related field. 
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an accounting, finance or analytical role
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and business intelligence visualization toolkits such as: Qik, R, Python, SAS or Tableau
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, database knowledge preferred but not required
