Title: Manager, Pricing & Commercial Analytics

Job Summary

The Manager, Pricing & Commercial Analytics will have primary responsibility for competitive and market intelligence within Mickey Thompson. You will provide a comprehensive perspective for all markets, with responsibility for scenario models, competitive intelligence, MAP and margin effectiveness.  You will collaborate with the commercial team, to provide inputs for strategic growth opportunities, including but not limited to: segment growth, trends & market assessments. You will work with all functional leads to formulate plans on these responsibilities. Anticipating emerging trends, new markets, and the competitive landscape are critical components to the role. Additionally, you will assist in the yearly planning, strategy process and monthly/quarterly reviews with all stakeholders.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with external and internal resources to source qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Using empirical data, identify future trends and opportunities and develop an intimate knowledge of the market.
  • Work with product team to create market insights, including a comprehensive overview of market and industry trends, SWOT, competitive review, and portfolio performance.
  • Work with product team to develop business cases, create topline stories, and new opportunities to drive growth.
  • Advise senior leadership on consumer and market trends to support the development of strategic plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to influence integration of products or programs with the organization’s strategic direction and inform the development of new products based on consumer insights and research.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards to inform the business using data visualization platform (Tableau).
  • Drives the competitive set to help determine appropriate market positions on existing and new product lines, guiding organization on consumer screen position
  • Responsible for proactively measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of current market position.
  • Activates insights driven strategy, pricing and merchandising recommendations to strengthen partnerships with key distribution partners.
  • Responsible for analyzing and enforcing Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) for applicable product lines.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. (Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics)
  • 6+ years of market research, reporting & analytics
  • Has a passion for and/or experience in the automotive performance aftermarket
  • Strong cross functional partnership skills, using data to bridge the gaps between competing stakeholder agendas
  • Formal experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods including survey design, sampling plans and analysis, and brand trackers
  • Experience with Tableau, Access, and SAP preferred
  • Strong data visualization, writing, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
  • Feels comfortable quickly transitioning from evaluating current market position performance and future state
