The Position

We’re looking for a strategic HR leader to play a key role on our Senior Leadership team as a business partner and “go-to” expert on all topics related to people and culture.  Reporting directly to the President, this position is responsible for:

Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Lead all HR processes across Ohio and California locations (recruiting, employee development, talent development, succession planning, etc.) with an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Partner with parent company HR team to implement and educate MT associates on corporate benefits plans, compensation, payroll, safety and employee development
  • Oversee workplace safety compliance and practices

 

Leadership:

  • Lead a cross functional team of two people in HR and IT
  • Foster a creative and collaborative team environment focused on employee experience

Key Results

  • Development and implementation of Mickey specific employee programs and/or processes that support our company purpose and mission
  • Collaborative relationship and partnership with parent company HR team
  • Active role on the Sr. Leadership team

 

Requirements

Education       

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • PHR/SPHR preferred but not required

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with increasing responsibility
  • 2-3 years leadership experience
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local compliance specifically Ohio and California
  • Safety experience preferred but not required

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively select, assess, coach/counsel, develop associates at all levels of the company
