The Manufacturing Technician for Tire Uniformity Optimization is responsible for the processing of tires through the uniformity testing process, tending to equipment alarms, and will perform duties required to complete the TUO checks each shift.  The position provides an on the floor experience and knowledge for future opportunities such as supervisor, quality engineer, and management.


 Job Specific Duties:

  • Commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Attend to equipment, sorter and conveyor alarms/issues
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report results
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure consistent exchange of information
  • Monitor data tools throughout the shift to verify the flow of production meets production requirements
  • Respond to quality issues
  • Setup of tires for testing purposes across multiple machine types
  • Properly process downgrades before sending to Reclass for disposition
  • Request Maintenance support through SAP system
  • Assist Maintenance in trouble shooting equipment, as needed


Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum two years of college OR prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
