The Receiving Administrator compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost, and type of material received, stocked, and issued, and prepares material requisitions by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
  • Compiles and maintains inventory of raw material received, stocked, and issued.
  • Assists with delivery of shipments to departments throughout the plant.
  • Marks identifying information on material.
  • Operates switch engine in a safe and timely manner to spot, unload and remove empty rail cars.
  • Coordinates interplant transfers of materials.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft applications, ie: Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Knowledge in inventory software, order processing sofware and database software.
  • Must be able to work all hours required; maintain acceptable attendance, and work flexible schedule including backshift and/or weekends
  • Ability to work well and efficiently in fast paced work environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • 1-2 years prior experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP highly preferred
