Tire Assembly Co-Op

Typical duties in one of our Product Development or Materials Development department would include:

  • Facilitating a Tire/Material test program and/or analyzing test data
  • Conduct project tire builds
  • Conducting material lab evaluations
  • Working jointly with a manufacturing facility on product or process improvement opportunities.

Typical duties in one of our research departments would include:

  • Assisting with the development of predictive testing capabilities.
  • Researching new materials and/or methodologies.


Typical duties in one of our Technical departments within the manufacturing facilities would include:

  • Working with the production staff on product or process improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitating project work (tires or materials) for the Technical staff.  



  • Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and having completed at least the freshman year.
  • GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or better (consideration given to lower GPA's depending on experience).
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several variables.


Our co-op students are given pertinent work assignments and have opportunities to work in one or more of our manufacturing facilities.
We believe strongly in the learning aspect of the work assignment and pair all of our co-op students with a coach/mentor.
